The Rapture: An Unparalleled Event
Recently, I have been inundated with various requests to talk about the rapture. I figured that this would be a good time to speak about the rapture of
the body of Christ. As we begin our study, allow yourself to be open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. You will be able to see scripture that until now have
not appeared quite as significant. You may refer back at any time to any verses mentioned so you can help ‘set it in stone’. Keep in mind that some
verses you may already know. Most preachers only use a couple scripture verses to preach on the rapture. In this study, we will isolate many more
references.

I will give you various verses and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you accordingly. At the conclusion of this study, I will speak a little about the rapture
itself. You will have built up in your mind sufficient Word to be prepared for future encounters with others.

[1] “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:4)

[2] “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye
may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” (John 14:1-4)

[3] “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if
we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the
Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one
another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

[4] “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal
must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to
pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and
the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye
stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-
58)

[5] “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” (Titus 2:13)

[6] “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for
we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” (1 John 3:2)

[7] “And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking
vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from
the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe
(because our testimony among you was believed) in that day” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)

[8] “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in
mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2)

[9] “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will
let, until he be taken out of the way” (2 Thessalonians 2:6-7)

[10] “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto
judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the
ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after
should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and
hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to
reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:” (2 Peter 2:4-9)

[11] “Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have
purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:”
(1 Peter 1:21-22)

(Corresponds with 1 John 3:2)

[12] “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming
of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that
Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in
the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” (Mathew 24:36-
41)

[13] “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the
Son of man.” (Luke 21:36)

[14] “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and
pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and
to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at
midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” (Mark 13:
32-37)

[15] “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and
believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-26)

[16] “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one
shepherd.” (John 10:16)

[17] “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but
unto all them also that love his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:8)

[18] “If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. Now is my
soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.” (John 12:26-27)

[19] “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked
stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up
into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:9-11)

[20] “For our conversation F13 is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it
may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” (Philippians 3:20-21)

[21] “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:9)

[22] “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,” (1 Thessalonians 5:9)

[23] “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say
unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.” (Mathew 16:7-28)

[24] “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus
Christ;” (1 Peter 1:13)

[25] “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.” (Luke 17:26)

[26] “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done
good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:28-29)

[27] “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt
with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (2 Peter 3:10)

The Word of God is full of specific references as well as vague references to the rapture of the church. I am a firm believer that we are right now on the
verge of a major world altering event. That event is the rapture of the church. Pretty much right after the rapture occurs, a man will step up with all of the
answers as to what occurred. This man will be Satan’s man of the hour. This man will be the Anti-Christ. He may say that there was a mass alien
abduction. He may claim that there was a major evolutionary cleansing and only the fittest survived. Whatever the excuse, the world will buy it lock stock
and barrel. Not only will this world leader have the answers for the rapture, but he will also calm down the Middle East with a peace treaty. People will be
amazed at how smooth and suave this man is with political actions. Those that are raptured out of here will not know who the Anti-Christ is because we
will be gone prior to his being revealed.

We are referred to as ‘ambassadors’ for Christ. This is quite interesting. A sign of war is the silent evacuation of ambassadors from embassies located
in the country about to go to war. The reason is so that this ambassador can not be used as a hostage, human shield, or as a prisoner of war. God is
silently in a split second going to remove His ambassadors from this present world to prepare for war.

We are also called the bride of Christ. A little question is this, “What kind of man would allow his bride to go through the worst war imaginable with
nuclear holocaust, biological weapons, chemical weapons, and everything else that is going to occur here on earth?” The Word of God is clear that we
(the bride of Christ) have not been appointed to wrath. Revelation 6:17 is clear when it says, “For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be
able to stand?” Clarity and understanding of this vital subject matter is important to understand that the seven years of the tribulation is the wrath of
God.

An old Jewish custom for marriage is a great picture of the rapture. When a young man would see the girl he wanted to marry, he would go place a
ribbon in a tree as a sign he was going to marry her. He would leave her alone for a time and go to build a house that they would reside in. He would
spend countless hours in perfecting the perfect home. Each day that he felt he was ready to go sweep her off her feet, he would ask his father if it was
time to go get her. The father would say, “No” or “Yes”. When the father finally felt it was time to go get his bride to be, he would grant his permission.
The young man would be silent as he came into her home and took away the love of his life so no one else knew he was there. He would come like a
thief in the night. They would go and be together forever.

Reading the above verses and then aligning them with traditional Jewish marriage customs, we can see that the rapture is definitely a key event that will
occur. If you dispute that, don’t forget Jesus is Jewish.

I can delve a lot more into this subject, but that would require writing a book. The important thing is that you are prepared. I am not talking about
everyone getting together at midnight on some specific day to wear Nike shoes and drink poisoned fruit punch to go live on some comet. I am speaking
of the Creator of the universe coming to remove us from the earth before all hell literally breaks loose. It is important that you tell others about what is
going to happen. Ask them to accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior. If they refuse, at least a seed will be planted so Satan’s man of the hour will have
difficulty in deceiving them.

DC Talk has a song called Time is. In this song, They say, “Time is ticking away… Tick Tock Tick Tock Tickin’… The signs of the times are dropping like
flies…” This is true. Anyone watching the local news may as well read the Word of God. The events occurring are spelled out in detail. When we read
prophesies spoken of by the prophets of the Bible some 2,500 years ago, it is like we are watching the evening news.

Millions of people will literally disappear. I have a friend of mine who heard that airlines will not permit two Christian pilots in the cockpit of jumbo jets. He
called a major airline and they verified this rumor. They are scared of the rapture and the possibility of an entire flight crashing into some mountain side
because the pilots both disappear from the cock pit.

I would suggest that you write a letter and leave it behind for those who do not get raptured out of here. We may be able to save a few of those who are
going to have to endure seven years of satanic rule. Take the time to prepare a letter. Stick in a drawer, on the refrigerator, in a glove box, on your
computer, wherever. No one knows the exact time of the rapture so we have to live everyday as though it is our last. Get sin out of our lives. And win as
many as we can before Satan gets his hands on them. After the rapture occurs, people will be forced into accepting the mark of the beast in their
forehead or back of their right hand. Once they accept this mark, they are going to hell. No hope of salvation. You need to make everyone around
aware of this. Those left behind who refuse to accept the mark of the beast will be beheaded. You heard me; their heads will be chopped off. Think
about those Islamic terrorists who beheaded those news reporters. Do you wish that on your kids, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancé, friends, or
neighbors? Take the time to prepare them either for the rapture or for the tribulation.
